Restuarant,I usually love this place but I got food poisoning and I mean immediately after I ate I started getting sick on my short ride home. I had the fish and chips that I always love here, but my last piece of fish was very fishy and I tasted it all night long! I love breakfast here and the French dips and I wish I could get a good steak or prime rib, but now all they have is sirloin from what I see on the menu Christmas eve. We were happy they were serving dinner, a lot of restaurants closed here in coupeville and oak harbor and after a day of last minute shopping a good meal would have been nice. Considering that I was doing all the cooking the next day, I would have loved to have seen any of the many restaurants that we frequent,open for it's regular patrons. Just saying. Do NOT believe the reviews about the motel rooms being clean! My standards were low, but the room was beyond filthy and THE SMOKE DETECTOR WAS REMOVED, which I will be reporting that to the proper agency. Moldy ceiling and walls in the bathroom. The best part about this room is that it's across the street from a market that sells sanitizing wipes. Every surface I wiped was covered in grime like they hadn't been cleaned in months - the tables, light switches, door handles, the doors, the walls, the shower. The comforter was not washed and I'm really hoping those stains were from food. The giant crusty, bloody booger stuck on the wall was a nice touch. I've stayed in some rundown places, but there's no excuse for this level of cleanliness and safety issues.Reply to Owner response: I did not bring these issues up during my two night stay, nor should I have to bring basic cleanliness or safety to an employee's attention. These are minimum expectations and it's up to management to ensure they are met, it's not the paying customer's responsibility to work as quality control.For your insight, during my visit I was attending a family event a few minutes away, and only slept and showered in the room. I spent roughly 14 hours there, approximately 2 hours while awake. NÃO acredite nos comentários sobre os quartos do motel sendo limpos! Meus padrões eram baixos, mas o quarto estava além de imundo e O DETECTOR DE FUMAÇA FOI REMOVIDO, o que vou relatar à agência apropriada. Teto e paredes mofados no banheiro. I have gone into the Tyee restaurant & bar frequently over the past 2 years.Service & food have been superb.Prices r good too!But, this evening, I had, yet another bad experience w/a bartender I will not name here, to protect her privacy.She was hostile to me (as usual).She is an exception to the wonderful employees at Tyee!Everyone else there has been nothing but outstanding, friendly, & darn good at what they do.And I have done nothing but tip the aforementioned person generously---I worked in resturants my whole life.I know how to tip and how to be a polite customer!(If I took a dislike to a customer, I hid it. Then again,I probly never had hostility to a customer-- cuz it was the customer who mostly paid me!).I am sorry to have to report the above. It's possible this bartender is not well.If that's the case, I truly am sorry.But, geez, I'd like to be able to feel my presence is not making the bartender angry.I am polite.I would never harm a flea.I will likely not go back to Tyee because of her hostility towards me this evening--- despite how lovely the majority of bartenders there are---not to mention the fish & chips rivals Toby's----in my humble opinion.Again, I worry that she is not well.In that case, I am very sorry & sympathetic. Ela é uma exceção para os funcionários maravilhosos da Tyee! Todos os outros não foram nada além de excelentes, amigáveis e bons no que fazem. I've never had a room but the restaurant is great. It has a family friendly vibe, home meal choices that are delicious, as well as classic and special treats. My go to.... Deep fried mushrooms and an Arnold Palmer. Eu nunca tive um quarto, mas o restaurante é ótimo. Tem um clima familiar, opções de refeições caseiras deliciosas, além de guloseimas clássicas e especiais. Minha escolha... Cogumelos fritos e um Arnold Palmer.
Wow the food was amazing! The waitress was fabulous always checking to see if drinks needed to be filled friendly and kind. The food was out quickly ! Thank you for a good rest after a very long day of work Uau a comida era incrível! A garçonete era fabulosa, sempre verificando se as bebidas precisavam ser preenchidas de maneira amigável e gentil. We used to eat at the Tyee every time we came to town, several times a year.But this year the food was not up to expectations from the past.The fish pieces were small and the French fries were cold and under-cooked.The chicken fried steak was grislily.The baked potato was cold and we were charged for the extras for a loaded potato.I doubt we will be back.Service was friendly and good in the bar.Benches need new padding. Costumávamos comer no Tyee toda vez que vínhamos à cidade, várias vezes por ano. Mas este ano a comida não correspondeu às expectativas do passado. Os pedaços de peixe eram pequenos e as batatas fritas estavam frias e mal cozidas. O bife frito de frango foi grislily. A batata assada estava fria e fomos cobrados pelos extras para uma batata carregada. Duvido que voltaremos. O serviço foi amigável e bom no bar. Bancos precisam de novo estofamento.
