Stayed one night in late September, in the Afrodite suite - the one with the balcony.
The suite itself was lovely, with views across the Venetian harbour. It's in the PERFECT spot for sunset and it spacious and comfy.
There were some of the usual issues with lighting/mirror placement which meant I couldn't find a good spot to put on my make up, but I managed. If I'd stayed longer this definitely would have become more bothersome.
The bathroom had only one rather dim light, so most of the time we kept the door open - after all, no one likes showering in the dark. Shower pressure good and hot water seemed infinite, which was a blessing after our air bnb with its limited supply.
The reason I've marked the stay down to a three is the NOISE in the morning. I was looking forward to a lie in after a night out celebrating our wedding anniversary, but was woken around 7am but chairs and tables being dragged across the roof - directly over our bedroom. This the noise continued until we gave up on trying to sleep and went up for the breakfast service (which is until 10am). I honestly cannot describe how loud and irritating it is - I urge the staff to go and sit in that room while it's happening as they'll be compelled to come up with a solution afterwards.
If you stay here and don't plan to be up at 7am, book a ground floor room.

Wonderful view from our room overlooking the best sites in town. Short walk to the heart of all the action. Excellent breakfast on the rooftop. Beautiful building and rooms.

We loved this hotel from the entrance. The rooms are very spacious and nicely decorated, the view is just amazing to the old port. It was noisy during the night considering the location above all pubs and restaurants from old port, but also it took just 2 mins to join them. Staff very friendly and helpful, rooms cleaned everyday and towels changed each 2 days. Try to chose a room with the balcony/terrace if you are staying longer and also going to the beach. For us was difficult to dry the towels/cloths after the beach, as we have chosen a room without balcony. Breakfast is very basic, as there is no kitchen as such, but the view from the terrace, just amazing. The biggest minus is the sink from bathroom, as it's very inconvenient to clean the face, but this can be quick forgotten compared to other advantages.

This is a charming little place perched right above the old harbor, offering a stunning view and a very strategic place to stay. The staff are very helpful, and can answer any traveler’s questions. The rooms are clean and spacious, but I would highly suggest requesting a sea view room. Breakfast on the roof is an experience in itself. The food isn’t necessarily that extraordinary, but the panoramic view is, and so is Irene, who oversees the service. Will definitely choose to stay here again if I get back to Chania.

I had such a wonderful experience here I felt obligated to share.
The room was exactly as pictured, in this big, beautifully renovated old building. I loved all the details, the heavy keys for the doors, wooden ceiling beams, picturesque views onto the water.
The staff were friendly, and the concierge went far above and beyond to help me find a cab during peak times (please give him a raise! He deserves it!)
A couple of things to note:
It’s an old building, so I don’t believe it has a/c (or if it did, I didn’t use it). I enjoyed sleeping with the windows open to let the breeze in, but it did invite a lot of sound from the people dining below. If you’re a light sleeper, this will keep you awake. I’d recommend a courtyard view (very quiet) if you’re worried about sound.
Overall, I couldn’t be more impressed with the building, location, and value. Everything was exactly as pictured, and I had a wonderful time experiencing Chania in part due to the stay at this hotel.
