Excellent place to stay. Close to all landmarks, walking distance. Rooms are clean.

Our daughter checked us in however my husband nor I ever saw the owners. The room was very dark and was more like a lower end hostel. I know this because my daughter has stayed in several while in Europe. The towels were very thin and seemed more like large dish towels. They didn't even have any plastic cups in the room. I believe that several families lived in the building and the noise level was very loud at times. We left to tour the Vatican after checking out and there was no one the to watch our luggage, the owners said that they would not be in until 8:00 am. So if you needed anything when they were not there you were out of luck.
There are several better options when spending this amount of money. I suggest you look at other options.

Wonderful stay at Chocolat Inn.Great location.Very clean room.Comfortable bed,great shower.Strong Wi-Fi.Best of all was the atmosphere.Much better than usual hotel.Hostess Roberta was awesome.Had slight trouble on arrival so she offered me free breakfast.Will definitely return. 6 star!

Best place to stay!...when in Rome... People who want exceptionality, don't go to small places in Rome and just book with a Marriott or the like. But if you want to feel like you are part of the community, then this is the place to be. Roberta and Manuela are awesome people who treat their guests like family. Nothing's better than waking up in the morning and having breakfast with the other guests and Roberta or Manuela and trying on some mixed language conversations...mille grazie, segniore! Some people complained of not being able to find the place easily...If you are looking for a sign to show you where the place is, you're going to walk right by it, but if you use some common sense and use the house numbers as your indication, then guess what happens?!

I have only good things to say about chocolat inn. The owner she was sweet. The rooms very cozy. Her breakfast cake was so yummy she baked it herself.
